Heart-wrenching incident in Rajasthan, a young Air Force officer tragically ends his life following a fake rape case by his Muslim friend's wife, was being pressurised by his friend’s family of Mohammad Saeed to embrace Islam & extorting money since 2020
In a heart-wrenching incident that has stirred the state of Rajasthan, a young Air Force officer took his own life under distressing circumstances. Sukharam Jaat, a 24-year-old corporal from Midiyan village in the Didwana Kuchaman district, was found deceased in Hyderabad, where he was stationed. The tragedy unfolded on the 20th of February, leaving his family and community in shock.
The gravity of the situation became evident when Sukharam's family, engulfed in grief, staged a protest on the 23rd of February. Their demonstration commenced in the morning, right after Sukharam's body arrived at the Gachhipura police station, signaling a cry for justice and accountability. The family, alongside the local community, put forward several demands, seeking to bring the circumstances leading to Sukharam's demise into the light. Their protest prompted negotiations with the authorities, culminating in an agreement by the afternoon, allowing for Sukharam's body to be respectfully transported to his native village for the final rites.
Delving deeper into the tragic event, Parbatsar Additional Superintendent of Police, Dharamveer Singh Janu, shed light on the circumstances surrounding Sukharam's death. The young corporal, a dedicated Air Force member stationed in Hyderabad, was found to have ended his life by hanging. This act of despair brought his family to the Gachchipura police station, where they demanded justice, insisting on the accountability of those they deemed responsible for their immense loss.

In the wake of the tragic event, the law enforcement authorities have pledged to thoroughly investigate the circumstances leading to the young Air Force officer's death. ASP Dharamveer Janu and Circle Officer Bhawani Singh have committed to establishing a Special Investigation Team (SIT) specifically for this case. Their immediate response included the decision to suspend Constable Kishan Singh for misconduct and place the implicated Head Constable on Awaiting Posting Order (APO) status. This swift action facilitated the conclusion of the protests, allowing the bereaved family to proceed with the last rites of Sukharam Jaat in a dignified manner.
The heart of the matter seems to lie in the allegations made by Sukharam's father, Asharam, who is 44 years old. In a complaint filed at the Gachchipura police station, he detailed a harrowing account of blackmail and coercion that his son faced. Asharam claims that his son was pressured by a friend, the friend's wife, and father to convert his religion. He pointed out that Sukharam knew Mohammad Saeed, a head constable at Makrana police station, through their shared education in Didwana Kuchaman. The two were acquaintances since their school days, and this relationship took a complex turn when Sukharam joined the Air Force in 2017. According to Asharam, Sukharam's friend frequently insisted he stay with him under the pretense of friendship during his visits home. However, Asharam believes these invitations had ulterior motives related to financial benefits rather than genuine camaraderie.
The details surrounding Sukharam Jaat's tragic demise unveil a deeply shocking and disturbing scenario that reads like a nightmare. In August 2023, Sukharam's life took a harrowing turn when the son of a head constable Mohammad Saeed, along with his wife, visited Sukharam's house, only to later invite Sukharam and his wife Pooja to their residence in Makrana. This seemingly innocuous interaction laid the groundwork for a sinister plot.
The conspiracy thickened as the head constable, his son, and daughter-in-law allegedly began a relentless campaign against Sukharam, attempting to alienate him from Hindu religion. The family reportedly engaged in psychological manipulation, eventually siphoning off Sukharam's hard-earned Air Force salary. The coercion escalated to unbearable levels, with threats of conversion hanging over Sukharam. The accused threatened to destroy his life by compelling Pooja to lodge a fabricated rape case against him if he resisted conversion, a move that could not only tarnish his reputation but also end his career in the Air Force.
In a revelation that adds a layer of tragedy to the story, Sukharam had confided in Motiram, a villager who runs a marble business in Hyderabad. Just two months before his death, Sukharam expressed his turmoil to Motiram, revealing the financial exploitation and the unbearable pressure to convert that began in 2020. The situation reached a breaking point when Sukharam's friend's wife filed a baseless rape case against him on 19th February at the Parbatsar police station. Overwhelmed by the stress and the malicious allegations, Sukharam tragically chose to end his life on the night of 20th February while on duty in Hyderabad.
The stark horror of this blackmail, built on such a vile and false claim, is a chilling testament to the extreme lengths some are willing to go to manipulate and exploit others.

The situation surrounding Sukharam's tragic end further unfolds as his father shares more distressing details. Two months prior to the unfortunate incident, Sukharam had a revealing conversation with Motiram, a fellow villager who runs a marble business in Hyderabad. Sukharam confided in Motiram about the intense pressure he was facing from his friend, who had been seduced by the allure of money and was now forcefully trying to convert Sukharam to Islamic religion and become a radical Muslim like them. This friend, along with others, had been exploiting Sukharam financially since 2020 and even threatened to ruin his career by making false allegations against him to the police.
The climax of this pressure came when Sukharam learned that his friend's wife had lodged a fabricated rape case against him at the Parbatsar police station on February 19. This accusation pushed Sukharam to the brink, leading to his suicide on the night of February 20, while he was on duty in Hyderabad. Devastated by the turn of events, Sukharam's father revealed that his son was living in a rented apartment outside his work premises at the time of his death. The family, stricken with grief and seeking justice, refused to proceed with the cremation until the individuals responsible for Sukharam's demise were arrested.
In support of Sukharam's family, former MLAs Shreeram Bhinchar and Lokesh Godara joined the protest, highlighting the inappropriate behavior of Constable Kishan Singh towards those demanding justice. The protestors stood firm in their demands for the suspension of Constable Singh, insisting that the accused be detained and thoroughly investigated to uncover the truth behind the false allegations and the consequent tragic suicide of Sukharam.

In a distressing turn of events, sources have revealed that the head constable stationed at Makrana police station resides near the Parbatsar police station. His daughter-in-law, who hails from Bikaner, filed a shocking lawsuit against Sukharam, a friend of her husband, on 19th February. She reported that they were married on 4th March 2021 and after their marriage, she moved into her father-in-law’s CO quarters. Sukharam, due to being considered a part of the family, frequently stayed at their residence. She accused Sukharam of molesting her during these visits, claims which she says her husband ignored.
The situation allegedly escalated on 28th January of the same year when, with her father-in-law, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law away in Bikaner, and only her husband and their 18-month-old daughter at home, Sukharam visited and raped her. She further alleged that her husband threatened harm to their daughter if she spoke out or resisted, prompting her to file the case with the Parbatsar police, which led to an investigation being opened against Sukharam. Tragically, Sukharam took his own life in Hyderabad the day following these allegations.
Parbatsar's Additional Superintendent of Police, Dharamveer Singh Janu, reported that police from both Gachhipura and Didwana Kuchaman district stations were called to the scene to address the situation. Following successful discussions, Sukharam's family agreed to transport his body back to their village for the final rites. The ceremony was conducted with due respect, marking a somber end to a deeply unsettling series of events.
