"Where there is no temple there shall be no homes": Radha Krishna Temple in Sarvoday Society, Navsari City, Gujarat Razed Down By Nagar Mahapalika, this is a state ruled by BJP for the past 30 years, lathis hurled on devotees protesting, women pushed

Ahmadabad: Bulldozers' action has been taken on a temple in Gujarat's Navsari town. In fact, the newly constructed temple at Sarvodaya Society in Navsari town was demolished by the Navsari Urban Development Authority with a bulldozer, terming it an illegal encroachment. During the demolition of the temple, there was a fierce protest by the local residents, on which the police had to resort to lathi charges.
According to an official of the Navsari Urban Development Authority, the construction of this temple started two months ago between the road connecting other societies behind Sarvodaya society, to which the NUDA had objected and took a stay order from the court on the construction of the temple. In defiance of this order, the dome of the temple was built by the society and the statue of Radha-Krishna was installed. In the same case, considering the documentary evidence, bulldozing action has been taken on the temple. The idols of Radha and Krishna kept in the temple were desecrated and handed over to the municipality before the officer demolished the temple.
