Muzaffarnagar: Arbaaz Arrested for Beheading His 21-Year-Old Wife and Cutting Her Body in 4 Parts, Caught While Disposing the Body

In a shocking incident from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday, June 28th, the police apprehended an individual named Arbaaz, who had gruesomely murdered his wife following minor domestic disputes. The ghastly event was uncovered as Arbaaz was caught in the act of disposing of his wife's body, which he had dismembered into four to five segments.

Reports reveal that Arbaaz brutally decapitated his wife, amputated her hands, and divided her body into four parts. A local police officer disclosed that Arbaaz had tied the knot with Chahat, a 21-year-old woman hailing from Uttarakhand, about six months prior. The couple had been residing in a rented accommodation, keeping their marital status hidden from family members. Over time, tensions began surfacing in their relationship.

The officer further explained that Arbaaz resorted to violence against Chahat a week ago using a sharp weapon, resulting in her beheading and the severing of her hands. The city's Senior Police Officer, Satyanarayan Prajapat, noted that the police were alerted by local residents about suspicious activities. They reported seeing two individuals on a motorcycle heading towards the Kali River in Niyazipur village, attempting to dispose of a sack in the river.

Upon receiving the tip-off, police forces along with the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) rushed to the reported location. There, they discovered that the accused, Arbaaz, along with an accomplice, were attempting to dispose of the remains of the deceased young woman, which were packed inside a sack. "One of the suspects escaped when he saw the police, but they caught the other man. When they questioned him, they found a headless body in a sack," Prajapat elaborated on the incident.

The sequence of events unfolded on Wednesday night when Arbaaz, accompanied by his associate Shahrukh, approached the Kali River. Their effort to dispose of the body was hampered when the sack snagged on water hyacinths in the river. As Arbaaz struggled to push the sack further into the water, the police apprehended him. Following his capture, Arbaaz was presented in court on Thursday and subsequently remanded to custody. The manhunt for his accomplice Shahrukh continues.

During his interrogation by the police, Arbaaz disclosed that his wife, Chahat Malik, originated from Kotdwar. He also mentioned that Chahat's parents had passed away. However, the authenticity of his claims was questioned by the authorities since Arbaaz failed to provide specific details about Chahat's exact residence in Kotdwar. CO City Vyom Bindal noted, "the matter is under investigation."

Arbaaz admitted that he had married the 21-year-old Chahat approximately six months prior to the incident. Over the course of their brief marriage, the couple frequently quarreled over various matters.

According to the police, the plot to eliminate Chahat was conceived by Arbaaz and his friend. Seven days before her body was discovered, in a rented room located in Nai Basti, Nyazupura, the duo fatally attacked Chahat. They used a knife to slit her throat, subsequently decapitated her, and amputated her hands. After committing the gruesome act, they packed her remains into a sack and disposed of it in the Kali River.

During further questioning, Arbaaz shared additional details about his relationship with Chahat Malik. He disclosed that seven months prior, they had entered into a love marriage without the knowledge of his family. To keep their marriage concealed, he moved frequently with Chahat from one house to another. Arbaaz also mentioned that Chahat was prone to extravagant spending, which was escalating daily and causing continual disputes between them. This issue was something he had discussed with his friend Shahrukh, who lived in Jogiyo Wali Gali, Nyazupura.

About a week ago, in a grim escalation of their domestic troubles, Arbaaz and an accomplice took the drastic step of murdering Chahat. He confessed that they slit her throat with a knife. The officer in charge of the case noted that efforts were underway to apprehend the second accused. Additionally, the police confirmed that they had successfully recovered the weapon used in the murder.

Chahat hailed from Kotdwar in Uttarakhand, while Arbaaz was a resident of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh. Following the grim incident, Arbaaz has been taken into custody by the authorities, and his accomplice remains at large. The police have assembled a dedicated team tasked with capturing the remaining suspect involved in the crime.

During a press conference held at the police line on Thursday, SP City Satyanarayan Prajapat provided further details about the arrest. He reported that on Wednesday night, based on reliable information, Kotwali in-charge Akshay Sharma and his team apprehended Arbaaz, son of Islam, from the vicinity of the Kali river. At the time of the arrest, Arbaaz was engaged in trying to maneuver a sack, which had become entangled in the water hyacinths. Upon retrieving the sack, police discovered the dismembered remains of a woman inside, confirming the tragic outcome of this case.
