"अल्लाहु अकबर": In Karnataka's Bagalkote, Islamists intensify 'Sar Tan Se Juda' chants following Muslim clerics' hate speeches, signaling a grave normalization of death threats by Muslim clerics, in response to alleged blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad
In a deeply troubling event that unfolded in Bagalkote, Karnataka, large gatherings of Islamists have been reported to loudly chant the 'Sar Tan Se Juda' slogans. This phrase, which translates to calls for decapitation, echoes with a chilling effect through the crowds as captured in several circulating videos. According to social media users who uploaded these videos, this was not just a random outburst but appeared to be an organized rallying cry incited by Muslim clerics through hate-laden speeches.

These videos from Bagalkote vividly display the crowd—described as fervently Islamic—raising their voices in unison with 'Sar Tan Se Juda' and 'Allahu Akbar' slogans. This spectacle starkly demonstrates what many see as a disturbing trend: the normalization of extreme death threats. The root of these threats is claimed to be the defense of the 'honour' of Prophet Muhammad, an assertion that brings historical context into the present turmoil.
The use of 'Sar Tan Se Juda' is not new and carries with it a heavy historical significance. Historically, this slogan has surfaced during periods of intense religious strife, primarily used to galvanize followers of Islam against those they consider threats or offenders, typically non-Muslims, under allegations of blasphemy against the Islamic Prophet. This recurrence of the slogan in modern times, particularly in such a volatile manner as seen in Bagalkote, points to a deeply ingrained issue of religious intolerance that is being perpetuated under the guise of defending religious dignity.
In India, the alarming trend of 'Sar Tan Se Juda' protests gained renewed momentum after Alt News Mohammed Zubair shared an incomplete video of Nupur Sharma, a former BJP spokesperson, after she made observations derived from authentic and reliable Islamic texts to oppose scorn poured over Hinduism and Hindu Gods by a fellow Muslim panelist. Zubair's action, often described as dog-whistling, triggered large-scale protests across the country. The reaction was swift and fierce, with gullible Islamists quickly mobilizing to go on a rampage, loudly calling for Sharma’s beheading with 'Sar Tan Se Juda' slogans.

This resurgence of extreme protests in India highlights a deep-seated issue within certain segments of the population that are easily incited to violence. The phrase 'Sar Tan Se Juda', chillingly effective in rallying these groups, seems to tap into a historical narrative that is repeatedly resurrected during periods of religious tensions.
Nevertheless, as Islamists in Bagalkote raised 'Sar Tan Se Juda' slogans, Muslim clerics who attended the demonstrations indulged in hate speech against perceived blasphemers, in this case, Ramgiri Maharaj, who has been accused by the fringe elements in the Islamic fold of committing blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad. These accusations and the resultant hate speech underscore the volatile mix of religious fervor and the rapid spread of misinformation, which can escalate conflicts and deepen communal divides.
The protests against Ramgiri Maharaj, which have unfolded in various parts of the country, have not only seen the participation of indoctrinated youth but also of young children, who have been exposed to the ideology of Islamic supremacism. They have been taught that it is their 'religious duty' to avenge any perceived disrespect towards their Prophet. This troubling development has caught the attention of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), which has taken cognizance of the involvement of children in these 'Sar Tan Se Juda' protests. The commission has urged authorities to take immediate action to deradicalize these young minds and to provide them with appropriate counseling to counteract the extremist teachings they have received.

This action highlights a critical concern about the welfare of children being exposed to and participating in highly charged political and religious demonstrations, which can have profound impacts on their psychological and emotional well-being.
Earlier this month, 300 Islamists were booked for vociferously chanting 'Sar Tan Se Juda' slogans in front of the Pune Collector's office. This group, described as an Islamist mob, had organized a protest march on a Friday, proceeding without the necessary permissions from the administrative authorities. The local law enforcement, specifically officials from Pune City Police, responded by registering a case at the Bund Garden Police Station the following day. The individuals involved were charged under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) including sections 189(2), 190, 196, and 223, as well as sections 135 and 37(1) of the Maharashtra Police Act.
