"दिल तो पागल है": Yogi Adityanath, UP CM & Gorakhnath Math Mahant, receives a chilling death threat to resign or face Baba Siddique's fate, ATS traced and caught Fatima Khan in Ulhasnagar, who cited mental health issues as an excuse, security intensified
On Saturday, November 2, a shocking and alarming death threat was directed at the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath. Recognized for his dual role as both a prominent political leader and the Mahant (Head Priest) of the sacred Gorakhnath temple, this threat has left security forces in a state of high alert.
The incident began when the Mumbai Police Traffic Control Cell received an ominous call from an unidentified number on Saturday, November 2. The unknown caller issued a chilling warning: “Yogi Adityanath will meet the same fate as Baba Siddique if he doesn’t resign within 10 days.” The name Baba Siddique references an assassinated NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) leader, adding a deeply unsettling and pointed tone to the threat.
Such threats are not taken lightly, especially when aimed at a figure like Yogi Adityanath, who carries significant political influence and religious authority. As the head of the most populous state in India, his position comes with immense responsibility and impact. Furthermore, his religious leadership at the Gorakhnath Math underscores his importance within the Hindu community. The confluence of political and spiritual roles makes a threat against him an urgent concern.
With the gravity of the situation evident, security measures have been ramped up considerably. The Mumbai Police have swiftly launched an investigation to track down the individual responsible for this alarming death threat. Efforts are underway to identify the perpetrator and assess any potential risk to the Chief Minister’s safety.
For those familiar with Yogi Adityanath’s reputation, it is clear why any threat against him is taken so seriously. He is not only a leading political figure but also a revered religious leader, embodying a blend of power and spiritual authority. The potential consequences of any harm befalling him extend far beyond political upheaval, affecting millions of people who look to him as both a protector and a spiritual guide.

Who is the woman who threatened Yogi Adityanath?
The investigation into the threat against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led the police to a 24-year-old woman named Fatima Khan. Residing in Ulhasnagar, a locality in Thane district near Mumbai, Fatima Khan lives with her family. Her father works as a timber businessman, adding to the profile of a seemingly ordinary family background.
The police also provided details about her educational qualifications, highlighting that Fatima Khan is a well-educated individual. She has completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology, which reflects a strong academic background. However, despite her qualifications, authorities disclosed a crucial aspect: "The woman is well qualified but is mentally unstable," they said.
The police are actively trying to uncover what drove Fatima Khan to issue such a grave threat. Determining the motivation behind her actions remains a priority as the investigation continues.
Given the severity of the situation, the authorities promptly alerted the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) following the death threat. The ATS acted swiftly, managing to trace the woman to her residence in Ulhasnagar. In a well-coordinated joint operation with local law enforcement, the ATS team arrived at Fatima Khan's home to gather more information and conduct an initial inquiry. As the investigation progressed, Fatima Khan was escorted to the local police station for further questioning.
From there, she was brought to Mumbai for a detailed interrogation. Despite the serious nature of the threat, a senior IPS officer clarified that she had not been formally arrested. Instead, “she was issued a notice following the questioning.” To gain a comprehensive understanding of her actions and state of mind, the authorities are planning to conduct a mental health evaluation to assess her psychological condition further.
Meanwhile, considering the gravity of the threat, security for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been significantly tightened.

Baba Siddique murder case
On the night of Saturday, October 12, a tragic and violent incident unfolded, taking the life of former Maharashtra minister and leader of Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Baba Siddique. The brutal murder shocked Mumbai, with suspicions pointing toward a possible connection with the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Baba Siddique, aged 66, was struck by bullets in his chest and stomach. Despite being rushed to Lilavati Hospital, his injuries were fatal, and he could not be saved.
The attack occurred around 9:30 PM outside the office of Siddique’s son, Maharashtra MLA Zeeshan Siddique, located in Bandra East. At that moment, Baba Siddique was engaged in the festive spirit of Dussehra, celebrating by bursting firecrackers. In a sudden and horrific turn of events, three masked assailants appeared from a nearby vehicle. Armed with a 9.9mm pistol, they unleashed three rounds of gunfire aimed at Siddique. One bullet struck his chest, causing him to collapse immediately. The other bullet shattered the windscreen of his car, further underlining the violent intensity of the attack.
The incident, described as a well-planned assassination, left the public and law enforcement in shock. Baba Siddique’s life journey began far from the violence that claimed him. He was born on 13th September 1958 in Patna and later settled in Mumbai, where he laid the foundations of his political career. His political journey started in 1977 when he joined the Congress party. From there, he swiftly made a name for himself, demonstrating leadership skills that led to his appointment as the General Secretary of the Bandra Taluka Youth Congress in 1980. Just eight years later, in 1988, he became the president of the Mumbai Youth Congress, solidifying his reputation as a dedicated and capable political figure.
In 1992, Baba Siddique's influence grew even further as he was elected as a Municipal Councillor, marking a significant milestone in his career. Despite his years of service and leadership, his life was abruptly and violently cut short on October 12, leaving behind a legacy marred by the circumstances of his death. “He was shot dead by 3 shooters on October 12,” a fact that continues to resonate throughout Mumbai and beyond, stirring memories of a seasoned politician whose journey ended in tragedy.
