Video Of Rare 140 KG Orange Crystal Shivling Found In Fisherman's Net Goes Viral

In the serene village of Kavi, nestled within the Jambusar taluka of Bharuch district, Gujarat, a discovery of profound beauty and spiritual significance has captured the hearts and imaginations of both locals and fishermen alike.

On the morning of Wednesday, 7th February, the routine calm of fishing off Kavi's shore was broken by an extraordinary find. Fishermen, in their daily venture into the sea, stumbled upon a mesmerizing orange crystal Shivling, entangled within their nets. This was no ordinary find; the Shivling, with its radiant orange hue, weighed a hefty 140 kilograms and stood tall at nearly eight feet.

With reverence and careful effort, the fishermen managed to secure the Shivling onto their boat, navigating the challenge of its significant weight. Once ashore, the news of this rare and spiritual artifact spread like wildfire, magnetizing a throng of curious and awe-struck villagers to the riverbanks. They came in droves to witness the Crystal Shivling, a symbol of divine presence, now resting among them.

’10-12 People Tried But Could Not Move It’

In the quaint village of Kavi, located in the Jambusar taluka, a group of twelve fishermen brothers embarked on a routine journey into the sea. Among them were Kalidas Vaghela, Mangal Kalidas Fakira, and they took to the waters in Chhaganbhai Sombhai Vaghela's canoe, eager to harvest the bounty of their nets near Dhanka Tirtha.

This day, however, held a discovery that would etch itself into the spiritual lore of their community. The fishermen encountered an object in their nets that, at first, seemed mundane, almost like a drum. A duo among them attempted to haul it aboard, but the object defied their efforts, immovable as if anchored to the sea itself. Undeterred, a collective force of 10-12 men rallied to move it, yet even this combined strength fell short. Upon closer inspection, a revelation dawned upon them: nestled within was not just an object, but a sacred presence—a seat and the idol of Sheshnag, serenely accompanying a Shivling.

In that moment of realization, surrounded by the vastness of the sea, the fishermen turned to faith. With hearts full of reverence for Lord Bholanath, they united their voices in a chant of "Om Namah Shivay," an invocation of divine energy. It was in this act of collective devotion and remembrance of God that they found the strength to lift the Shivling, a testament to the power of faith and unity.

Their efforts bore fruit, and the Shivling was respectfully transported to its new home in the ancient Kamleshwar Mahadev temple of Kavi village. The presence of this Shivling has since become a beacon of spiritual wonder for the villagers and visitors alike. Described as nothing short of miraculous, it radiates a sense of calm and sanctity. The touch of the Shivling is said to soothe the soul, with its intricately detailed seat for the snake god and other idols shimmering like silver—a symbol of divine presence and the profound peace it brings to the human spirit.

The discovery of the Shivling has sparked a wave of spiritual fervor among devotees of Lord Shiva, drawing crowds eager to behold this extraordinary phenomenon. This sacred symbol, tipping the scales at about a quintal, made its serendipitous emergence from the depths of the sea, captured unexpectedly by local fishermen during their daily catch.

What was initially mistaken for a sizable fish tangled in their nets, turned out to be a moment of divine revelation. The fishermen were taken aback as they pulled their net aboard, only to find the Shivlinga cradled within, a sight that stirred their souls.

Attempting to lift the Shivling that had found its way into their net proved to be a daunting task due to its hefty weight. It was a moment that called for unity; the fishermen sought the aid of fellow boatmen. Together, through the combined strength and determination of ten to twelve individuals, they managed to hoist the Shivling onto a higher boat. This collective effort showcased their resilience and dedication, overcoming the challenge of transporting this significant discovery back to the shores of Kavi village.

The news of this sacred find spread like wildfire, igniting the curiosity and devotion of the villagers. The local authorities, recognizing the magnitude of the crowd drawn to this divine artifact, acted swiftly to deploy police personnel. Their goal was to manage the gathering and ensure the safety of all those who came to witness the Shivling.

Upon a meticulous cleaning and inspection, the true nature of the Shivling became clear—it was crafted from crystal. The fishermen's efforts to bring it ashore and cleanse it unveiled intricate details: a silver serpent, small idols, and a conch among other elaborate features, adding layers of mystery and sanctity to the find. This revelation fueled the villagers' intrigue and admiration, spreading the word far and wide. As the news of the crystal Shivling circulated, the community united in a collective desire to witness and pay homage to this holy object, a testament to their faith and the unifying power of spiritual discovery.

The captivating video of this divine find made its way onto X, previously known as Twitter, capturing the hearts and imaginations of viewers far and wide. The Shivling, with its majestic presence, could easily be mistaken for a sophisticated tabletop decoration, resembling a hefty paperweight, yet it is believed to be made of stone. The presence of a silver serpent, closely associated with Lord Shiva, stands out as a distinct and revered feature. The community is now contemplatively considering enshrining this Shivalinga in the Kamleshwar Mahadev shrine or another sacred Shiva site in the vicinity.

The origins of the Shivlinga are wrapped in layers of mystery, sparking a wave of curiosity and investigation into how it found its way to the fishermen's net. It is conjectured by authorities that recent turbulent high tides might have unearthed this sacred relic from its underwater sanctuary, leading to its serendipitous entanglement in the net. The appearance of motifs resembling Sheshnag, the serpent deity, on the Shivlinga's surface, further deepens the enigma and spiritual allure of the discovery.

As the local community delves deeper into the mystery, religious groups within the area are engaging in thoughtful discussions about the Shivlinga's future. There's a heartfelt consideration being given to placing it in a location that honors its sanctity, possibly near Kavi village. Concurrently, efforts to decipher the exact type of stone that composes the Shivlinga are intensifying, with the search extending to neighboring states for comparable geological formations.

This extraordinary find has not only sparked intrigue and excitement but has also drawn devotees and scholars into a deeper reflection on the profound implications of the Shivlinga's emergence. It stands as a poignant reminder of India's rich spiritual tapestry and the timeless mysteries that continue to emerge from its ancient depths, uniting people in wonder and devotion.

Consideration of Placement in Kamleshwar Mahadev Temple or Other Shiva Temples

In the wake of their extraordinary discovery, the fishermen of Kavi sought the wisdom of Vaishali Aahir, a dedicated Police Sub Inspector stationed in their village. Their intent was to gain insights into the significance and appropriate care for the sacred artifacts they had found.

During their consultation with PSI Vaishali Aahir, it was affirmed that the object they had retrieved from the sea was, in fact, a Shivling. Described as resembling a tabletop ornament or a hefty paperweight, this Shivling is distinguished by the presence of a silver serpent, a symbol deeply connected to Lord Shiva. The community is now in thoughtful deliberation about housing this Shivling in the Kamleshwar Mahadev Temple or possibly another Shiva temple nearby, recognizing the profound spiritual importance of their find.

‘Shivling Should Be Installed in Kamleshwar Mahadev Temple’

An examination of the Shivling revealed marks that suggest it may have either been subjected to an attempt at breaking or had collided with an object in the sea. The Devi worshiping community, blessed with the retrieval of this Shivlinga from the sea, has voiced a strong desire for it to be enshrined in the Kamleshwar Mahadev temple.

The temple's Board of Trustees has echoed this request, emphasizing the Shivling's rightful place within their sacred grounds. Should this not be feasible, plans are afoot to seek land from the government near Kavi port to erect a grand temple in its honor. Priyanka, a member of the Vaghela family, shared her joy and wonder at this divine gift, saying, “Father used to bring fish every day. Two days ago, he brought Shivalinga. I am very happy that we could bring God. Ever since the Shivlinga arrived, it has captivated all our attention. This is a divine Shivlinga.”

‘If the Archaeology Department Confirms, We Will Acknowledge It’

Ilaben Parmar, a visitor from Vadodara drawn to witness the Shivling, shared her awe upon seeing the video of the discovery, describing the Shivling as marvelous. This sentiment echoes the collective intrigue and reverence the Shivling has inspired among those who have seen it, both in person and through the viral video.

Vijaybhai Sindha, serving as the treasurer for the BJP in Jambusar tehsil, highlighted the importance of verifying the true nature of the find, suggesting that its identification as a Shivling warrants scholarly investigation. "It is a subject for research to ascertain whether what we have found is truly a Shivling or something else," he noted, emphasizing the readiness of the community to embrace the findings of the archaeology department with an open heart, should they confirm the Shivling's authenticity.

Echoing this sentiment, Mahant Vidyanandji from the Stambheshwar Mahadev Temple, a revered pilgrimage site in Kavi Kamboi, stressed the significance of authoritative validation by the archaeology department. He pointed out that if the object is indeed a Shivling, as suspected by many, it deserves to be enshrined in a location that honors its spiritual value.

This collective stance underscores a deep respect for tradition and a willingness to blend faith with the findings of scientific inquiry, ensuring that the Shivling, if verified, is accorded the reverence it rightfully deserves within the community's spiritual landscape.
